In a remarkable display of skill, determination, and teamwork, India's women’s badminton team has marked its name in the sport's history by clinching the gold medal at the prestigious Badminton Asia Team Championships. The tournament, held in the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Malaysia, from February 13 to 18, 2024, it witnessed intense battles on the court, culminating in a momentous victory for sports lovers. 

India Wins Badminton Asia Team Championships For The First Time 

From the onset of the tournament, India exhibited exceptional prowess, navigating through formidable opponents with ease. Led by seasoned player PV Sindhu and rising stars Anmol Kharb alike, the Indian squad showcased their versatility across all categories, from singles to doubles. Each match was a testament to their skill, resilience, and unwavering focus on the ultimate prize.

India secured a historic victory at the Badminton Asia Team Championships in Malaysia on February 18, 2024, triumphing over Thailand with a hard-fought 3-2 win in the final match. Led by the brilliance of PV Sindhu and 17-year-old Anmol Kharb, India clinched the title for the first time in the tournament's history.

Congratulations to the incredible Indian team who have, for the first time ever, won the Women's Team Trophy at the Badminton Asia Championships. Their success will motivate several upcoming athletes.

It is good that we beat top teams as not many teams in the world can talk of beating China and Japan."
