Born on September 17, 1950, to a Gujarati family, he was the third of six kids born to his parents. Lovingly, he was named Narendra Damodardas Modi. In a few press meetings, he shared that his father used to run a tea stall at the Vadnagar railway station in Gujarat.

PM Modi completed his early education in the same city. In many reports, his teachers described him as a ‘gifted debater’ who had an interest in playing larger-than-life characters in theatrical shows.

PM Modi was only an 8-year-old boy when he got acquainted with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right-wing Hindu nationalist organisation, and became one of its trainees. He met Lakshmanrao Inamdar, founder of Sahakar Bharti, who later became his political mentor.
