After the airfare prices for Bhutan were reduced, Thailand has announced a Visa exemption for Indian and Taiwan travellers from next month to May 2024. These steps are taken to boost tourism and attract more and more tourists to Thailand. Thailand scrapped the Visa requirement for Chinese tourists in September to boost tourism and now is going to take similar steps for Indians and Taiwan tourists.
Thailand-India Tourism Relation
Before covid pandemic, 2 million Indian tourists visited Thailand making India one of the most important sources of tourism for Thailand. India has been Thailand’s fourth largest source of income when it comes to tourism after Malaysia, China and South Korea. According to sources, around 1.2 million Indian tourists visited Thailand. This year Thailand is targeting 28 million tourists and thus has taken the initiative for Visa exemption.
Visa-Free Visit To Thailand
The Visa exemption for Indian and Taiwan travellers will begin next month and will remain for next year May 2024. Indians can travel in Thailand (places to visit in thailand) for 30 days without a Visa. Before India, this Visa exemption was given to China. For now, there is a visa on arrival for Indian tourists in Thailand.
