BAPS Inauguration
The inauguration of the BAPS temple is being seen as a representation of a socio-spiritual Hindu faith rooted in the Vedas, pioneered by Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the late 18th century. According to the reports, it was formally established in 1907 by Shastriji Maharaj.
PM Modi said that this is a landmark move and expressed gratitude to the leadership of UAE on behalf of all the Indians.

Sadhu Brahmaviharidas recognised the significant contribution made by the leaders from the UAE, before the ceremony and expressed gratitude. He brought attention to the strengthening bond between India's Prime Minister and the leadership of the UAE (Traditional UAE Food).
About The BAPS Temple
The temple is spread over a large area of 27 acres. A massive cost of over ₹700 crore went into the construction of the temple which began in 2019, according to the reports.
The Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) built the temple in Abu Mreikhah, near Al Rahba. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the idols took place yesterday. The seven Shikhars (spires) built at the temple represent the seven emirates that form the UAE, as said by the temple authorities.

After the inauguration, PM Modi gave a speech in Hindi, loosely translated to, “A golden chapter in human history has been written in UAE today. A grand and holy temple has been inaugurated in Abu Dhabi today. Years of hard work have gone into this temple and a long-cherished dream has come true. Bhagwan Swaminarayan's blessings are also with this temple.”
