Johar asked Khan if she had started watching cricket. She mentioned that the first time she went was to watch an IPL match with Vicky Kaushal. Johar again hinted at her relationship with Shubhman Gill.

Khan said, “You have got the wrong Sara.” She concluded with a funny saying, “Sara ka sara duniya galat Sara ke peeche pada hai (The entire world is after the wrong Sara).” He asked if she was talking about Sara Tendulkar, and the actor added that she thought so.

Johar said that Panday and Khan have a common ex, Kartik Aaryan, and it is easy for the two of them to be together. Khan said that she invests herself a lot in romantic as well as professional relationships. Hence, all this affects her a lot but “one has to rise above it all,” the actor added.

Khan also said that one cannot have permanent predicaments in show business. Speaking about the limited experience in the industry, the actor said that one cannot hold on to ‘nevers’ - won’t talk to you, won’t work with you, or won’t do something.

Karan Johar’s Fight With Kajol And Kareena Kapoor Khan

Building on what Khan said about nothing being permanent in showbiz, Johar said that he fought with Kareena Kapoor Khan in 2003 over a film, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ and the two did not speak for one and a half years. However, when Johar’s father was diagnosed with cancer, she called him but didn’t say a word. Johar said, “You don’t need to say anything, I know you are there (for me).”

When the actor finished shooting in Bangkok, she came to Johar’s house, and the two of them spent the entire night talking. They were back to where they were but when they fought, they swore to never talk to each other again.

Johar also mentioned his fight with Kajol. They haven’t spoken to each other in two years, but when his kids were born - Yash and Roohi, he sent a picture of them to the actor saying, “You don’t have to reply, but this is what my kids look like.”

The actor replied, “My heart is full of love.” A month later when Kajol was celebrating her birthday, she sent Johar a text that if did not want to, he didn’t have to come, but Johar attended her birthday bash anyway. They hugged, cried and were friends again.

Speaking about her validation, Panday said that all she ever worked for was for validation of people. She added that nobody ever had it easy in the showbiz, and she has been trying hard enough to earn the respect of her colleagues.

“I do want to feel validated as a good actor, and I want people to think that I am worthy of the opportunity that I have gotten,” the actor added. She said that she cannot expect things to come to her.

Speaking about her statement on Chunky Panday’s struggle to never make it to Koffee With Karan, Panday added that she used to be bothered by people and trolls. However, now she is at peace with the nuisance and added that her brain and mouth do not work in coordination. “I think something, and I say something else.”

‘Love Aaj Kal’ and ‘Atrangi Re’ are among the films of Khan that did not do well at the box office. Speaking about dealing with failure, she added that when the former film didn’t work, it took her self-doubt to another level. She thought of compensating ‘lack of’ with ‘something else that she could do’.

Khan also clarified her outlook on design bags. She added that she owns designer bags and shoes, but she does not believe in designer clothes. The actor said that she finds it ridiculous to get a blow dry just because she has to go to the airport.

She added that it’s not because she wants to be relatable that she has casual looks at the airport, it is because as an actor, she does not want to look unkempt, and it seems to her a little fake to dress for the airport.

Khan also added that since she had been an overweight child, her confidence and self-love were not defined by her looks. She had always been confident about her personality, interests, and being a travel enthusiast. Panday confessed that, unlike Khan, she had given too much importance to her looks, dress, hair, and makeup. However, she is trying to change it all. She also added that because of Johar, she now keeps a hairbrush in her bag.

Speaking about flop films, Panday said that Johar and her mother, Bhavna Panday, suggested she do ‘Liger’. Johar said that they all collectively take responsibility for it.

From speaking about the influence of their mothers to talking about their idea of a first coffee date. It was a fun-filled ‘gossip session’ of which you would want to be a part. If you have had a hectic day or are feeling a bit low, this episode is all you need to enjoy with a cup of coffee. It concluded with Sara Ali Khan winning the coffee hamper after the rapid-fire round. You should wait for the end to catch Sara in the original, fun avatar.
