Let us now take you through a handy 4 step Japanese skincare routine that is sure to enhance the quality of your skin further.
The 4 Step Japanese Skincare Routine
Step 1 : Pre- Cleanse
The initial two steps of the Japanese skincare routine consists of the double cleanse process. This does not mean that one’s face needs to be washed twice with the same product. Rather it refers to cleansing one’s face in two steps using two different cleansers. This ensures that all the impurities, gunk and accumulated dirt is removed from the skin.
The first step in the double cleansing routine involves an oil-based cleanser that removes all the makeup, gunk, sunscreen, lip colour, etc. from the face.
Step 2 : Cleanse
The second step of the double step cleansing routine involves a foam based cleansing step that gets the wipes off the impurities from the skin leaving it squeaky clean. It majorly targets water based impurities such as sweat on the skin, and it makes sure that the pores are left clean and sans any dirt.
Step 3: Pre-Moisturise
The next step practiced after the double cleanse is the double moisturising process that locks in the maximum amount of moisture in the skin. The double moisturising steps include the usage of a liquid lotion or a serum that is followed up with a deep moisturising cream step.
This dual moisturisation process done after the cleansing steps effectively lets the hydration sink into the skin. This is aided by the dual liquid lotion, essence or serum step done first that hydrates the skin initially. Additionally, it also prepares the skin for the moisturising cream step that gives the skin deeper hydration.
