The movie stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as star crossed lovers who flee to start a new life and then kill each other to save their respective clans. The leading couple’s chemistry sizzled on screen and her dance moves too spellbound the audience.

‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015)

The movie saw Padukone come together for the second time with Bhansali  and Ranveer Singh and featured Priyanka Chopra as his first wife, ‘Kashi’. But what stood out without a doubt in the movie is Deepika Padukone grooving to the tunes of the song ‘Deewani Mastani’ dressed in a vintage courtier’s attire.

‘Padmaavat’ (2018)

padmaavatPadukone collaborated for the third time with Bhansali and Singh and starred in the titular role opposite actor Shahid Kapoor who plays a Rajput king. Padukone essayed the role of a Rajput queen  whose tales of beauty lured a Mughal king, Sultan Alauddin Khilji played by Ranveer Singh right up to her the doors of her kingdom. ‘Padmaavat’ is based on an epic poem by Malik Muhammad Jayasi and Padukone steals our heart away in a jiffy as the old world period drama queen.
