Whether you want to lose weight, gain weight or want to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it is important to focus on diet. While we are already in the first month of 2024, it is the right time to make considerable changes in the diet as a positive and empowering step towards overall well-being. However, people often make mistakes while deciding the right diet for themselves. We connected with Chhavi Rohilla, founder of Nutrindulgence to share her input on dietary changes that you can implement in 2024.
Incorporating More Whole Foods
Whole food items include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds contain essential nutrients which are important for our overall well-being. You can add more of these to your diet for a healthy body.
Ensure Hydration
We hardly talk about hydration in our diet. However, it is very important as our body comprises 70% of water. Thus, make sure you are ensuring proper hydration throughout the day. You can carry a water bottle to make water intake a habit.
Build Each Meal Around Protein
Protein is important for our body. So, apart from salads and vegetables, it is important to focus on protein. No matter what age group you are in, some amount of protein is important for everyone. You can include protein in the form of pulses, nuts, dairy, eggs and meat.
Mindful Eating Practices
We all know what food to eat but no one talks about mindful eating. Mindful eating means paying attention to your hunger and fullness cues. Moreover, you should avoid distractions while eating and savour the flavours of the meal you are having.

Meal Prepping
We tend to make unhealthy choices when we don’t have our meals (post partum diet of 2024) planned. Thus, it is important to invest time in planning and prepping meals in advance so that you can make healthy choices. Having nutritious meals and snacks readily available will help you avoid less healthy options.
Reduce Processed Food
Processed food is bad for our health. It contains added sugar, unhealthy fats and artificial preservatives that impact our health negatively. Thus, it is advised to avoid it as much as possible.
