Anita Dongre’s Rewild edit saw clothes that were an amalgamation of Dongre’s signature handicrafts including block print, ‘gota patti’, embroidery, ‘Pichhwai painted couture all carried out in a procession of the collection.
A huge repertoire of silhouettes were showcased including embellished shorts, boleros, palazzos teamed with tall slit kurtas and tunics, a mix of long and short jackets. This was topped with an assorted collection of silhouettes of varied textures, lengths and finishes. The entire collection was a spectacle to witness filled with finely crafted and wearable pieces that had a clear design identity.
The line boasted of black and gold zardozi embroidery pieces, hand painted ‘pichhwai’ adorned pieces and several flora and fauna printed red-black and contrasting hued dresses, co-ord sets, jumpsuits, sarees and ‘salwar kameez’ and more; all of which were very wearable.

Anita Dongre’s collection gave a myriad options for the brides, bridesmaids and the wedding guests in the form of simple wearable pieces that can be woven in for various functions. The black and gold gowns, dresses, lehengas and more were the perfect pick for a ‘mehendi’ night for the bride; and the zardozi work laden dresses and co-ord made for the ideal outfit for the wedding guests for the cocktail function. The sarees laden with zardozi atop the black silk fabric would, of course, work like magic for the reception ceremony or would be something that the bride’s mother decides to wear.
