We spoke to Kamlesh Singh, Yoga Instructor at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Science, Lucknow, about the poses and their benefits in everyday life. Let’s take a look!

In the above video, the actress is performing a headstand pose called Shirshasana or Salamba Shirshasana. She begins by doing a headstand and gradually transitions her body into a bridge.

The first pose helps strengthen the spine, core and upper body. It stimulates the lymphatic system and helps to increase flexibility. You must not try it without someone to hold your legs or wall to support your posture.

Singh says that this yoga pose improves balance and works on the core. It improves blood circulation and lymph flow. It strengthens the muscles of the arms, back, shoulders, hips and core.
