What Is Aak Plant?
The white Aak plant's leaves are as thick as banyan leaves. When the leaves are mature and ready to shed, they turn yellow. It has small flowers that bloom in clusters. The flowers feature coloured lines, but are primarily white in colour. Its fruits are shaped like mango fruits and have white cotton-like features inside.
Ganpati Resides In The Aak Plant
Aak or Madar tree is very dear to Lord Shiva. It is said that Ganesh ji resides in this plant. The plant comes in two colours: black and white, and are specially used for tantric purposes. The roots of this plant are said to be where Ganpati lives. It is especially beneficial if it is worshiped properly and kept in the house. It is said that one should worship it after bringing it in an auspicious time. One must chant the Ganapati Mantra while worshiping. This way, Lord Ganesha showers the devotee with his blessings.

There is a belief that the Aak plant should be planted in front of the house. The presence of the plant around the house ensures that any evil influence or black magic used against the house's people will be repelled. This plant is mostly used in Tantra Vidya, and it helps in the elimination of any tone. If you worship the Ganapati idol that sprung from the root of this plant on a regular basis, you would receive 'trisukha,' or all of life's pleasures.

It is said that by offering flowers from this plant in worship, the Lord bestows special grace and all wishes are granted. Mainly, it is very auspicious to offer Aak leaves and flowers on Shivling. Planting a sacred aak plant at or in front of your main door is considered highly auspicious, according to the scriptures. It features white blooms, which Lord Shiva cherishes. This plant is always guarding against harmful energies and forces. The oxygen generated by this plant helps to purify the air.

Which Direction To Plant Aak Plant, According To Vastu?
- Aak plant can be planted between South-East, i.e can be planted in south or north direction.
- White Aak plant should be planted near or in front of the main gate in the house or it can be kept outside the house near the gate.
- Plant the Aak plant in such a way that whenever you leave the house, this plant should be on your right hand side.
- Plant Aak plant on any auspicious day like Poornima, Ekadashi, Mars or Monday.
